3 AXIS VIRTICAL INSPECTION ROBOT

This robot was designed to scan a vertical surface in a raster style patter. The operator controls the system using a standard laptop with the custom user interface shown at the left. The operator enters the scan size, start point and distance between raster lines. The robot then scans the defined area.

The 3 Axis Robot can scan an area 7' tall by 5' wide. It then folds itself down into the position shown on the left. It has wheels to allow it to be moved and then the shipping cover can be installed so the unit can be shipped to site.

It can move a payload of up to 15 lbs. In this configuration the client supplied the surface inspection sensor. The robot transmits it's current position to the owner supplied system.

The robot uses three servomotors with the controllers and drivers built into the motor. The three axis are: Shoulder Joint, Elbow Joint and Head Rotation
